Church Family,  

“God is not a man that He should lie, nor a son of man that He should repent; Has He said, and will He not do it?  Has He spoken, and will He not make it good?” Numbers 23:19 

 

That was one of our scripture memory verses over the past few Sunday nights in August!  What an incredible verse that reminds us that we can trust God...His Word and His Promises! There are a few things coming up that we can trust God for here at North Woods!

First, with our planning of the new education building!  God has promised us that He will work all things good for those who love the Lord...As the planning and preparation goes on, our task as a church family is to Love God and act upon that love in a way that brings Him glory!  How awesome is it that the Lord is trusting our church family with new additions and lives! We must keep being faithful to Him in our actions and deeds.

What that means regarding the building process is that God must remain our focus!  We must pray over this vessel that will house the lives that God has brought and is bringing to North Woods and be willing to serve God through the process of building, and once completed, we must continue being faithful to Him in ministry!

Also beginning this month on Sunday Nights myself and 3 of our deacons will be leading our Sunday Night Bible Study as we dive in deep into understanding our Spiritual Gifts!  I am so excited that God has given us men to lead in such a way, but even more, in knowing that we will be spending 7 weeks learning about the promises of God in His gifting!  I would encourage you greatly to make time to be a part of this study and to be ready to cling to the promises of God! 

*On a final note. September marks Alan Morrison’s One year Anniversary as our Music Minister and (a little late) July was Darleen’s 2 year anniversary of being on staff as our Church Ministry Assistant! Make sure you take time this month to encourage them both!
